Join the SERA Collective and take your shot to ride on a rocket to space. We’re transforming astronaut selection into an inclusive and democratic process. Here is how you do it.

If you don’t already have Telegram, download it. Then use the link to open the SERA Mission Control app within Telegram. You have now joined the world’s first community driven space program.

Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to get started and make the most of the experience.

1. Launch the App

Open Telegram, navigate to search for “SERA Mission Control”, and tap to launch the mini app. This is your gateway to the mission.

2. Set Up Your Profile

Login: Quick, seamless login via Telegram.
Add Details: Choose your country, upload a photo, and write a short bio.
Link Socials: Connect your YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, and Telegram channel. Do not skip this step because only connected accounts can earn you SpaceDust from your posts.
Get Your SERA ID Card: The app instantly creates a digital badge that you can share featuring your info and role in the mission.

Once you are set up, invite your friends and network by sharing your referral link, and help them join the SERA Collective along with you.

The more friends you get to join the more SpaceDust you collect which helps you move up in the leaderboard. Expanding your network also improves your influence and visibility within the SERA community. This leads to you having a better chance to stand out in the astronaut selection process and ultimately you will need supporters to vote for you to make it onto the New Shepard rocket.

3. Earning SpaceDust

SpaceDust (SD) is the in-app currency that powers the competition. You’ll earn it in many ways. Here are a few examples:

Creating your profile and SERA ID card.
Inviting friends with your unique referral link.
Posting content with #SERASpace to your accounts.
When your friends post content with #SERASpace on their connected accounts you get 25% of the SpaceDust they earn added to your account as well.
Unlocking milestone badges (for referrals, connecting socials, post counts, or total views).

4. Climbing the Leaderboard

The Leaderboard is the app’s home screen. It shows where you rank globally based on your SpaceDust. High ranks don’t guarantee a flight seat during the initial phase, but they boost your visibility and help you attract supporters.

5. Collecting Badges

Badges are milestones that mark your journey. Each badge gives you SpaceDust, and in later phases, they also increase your voting power to select the astronauts and science experiments that will fly on the New Shepard.

6. Using SERA AI

Inside the app, you’ll find SERA AI, your mission companion. Ask it questions, get tips, or play space trivia games to earn extra SpaceDust. It’s here to guide you through the mission.

7. Watching & Learning in the Mission tab

Learn about the mission and stay inspired with videos and podcasts: astronaut stories, tips, highlights from SERA's science projects, and updates from global activations.

8. Astronaut Candidate Badge

Phase 1 is now live. The goal during Phase 1 is to earn enough SpaceDust to get access to the Astronaut Candidate Badge. The amount of spacedust required will be announced two weeks before the end of Phase 1. This badge will secure you a spot on one of 5 national leaderboards and take you into the next phase of the competition. From there, community pledging and voting decide who goes to space.
